Your Vision. Our Region.
Everyone’s Opportunity to get Involved
Atlanta Way Day, in partnership with The Tara Theatre, Neighborhood Nexus, and Hands On Atlanta, provided a platform for individuals and organizations to spotlight challenges or critical needs in Metro Atlanta. One issue that is critical for our region is economic mobility. AWDAY25 offered a powerhouse keynote that emphasized the urgency of the moment.
This gathering sparked a candid and inspiring dialogue, and a few key takeaways rose to the top:
Data + Strategy + Policy are the levers for systems-level change—we must measure progress and hold ourselves accountable.
Bold investments matter—as Charlotte demonstrated with pre-K, housing, and transit, transformative change requires scale and courage.
Leadership and collaboration are essential—progress depends on cross-sector alignment, honest conversations, and a willingness to take on systems, not just symptoms.
Sherri Chisholm’s reminder that Charlotte turned urgency into action after being ranked last in economic mobility—and Atlanta now holds that place—was a call the attendees expressed they cannot ignore. They are ready to jump in, and we can't wait to continue the work.
We are deeply grateful to the panel, community presenters, attendees, sponsors, Activators, and to each of you for sparking this momentum. Atlanta Way 2.0 is dedicated to connection, collaboration, and convening to help Atlanta move forward together. The time is now, and we are here to support your work.
Atlanta Way Day was just the beginning. We look forward to the next steps—and to building on this energy to help Atlanta reach shared goals.
The event launched with a Keynote Panel discussing Atlanta's current ranking of 50th out of 50 in Upward Economic Mobility, and the urgency for our region to come together and address this challenge.
Charlotte, NC, was able to jump from 50th to 38th in the same study. We welcomed Sherri Chisholm of Leading on Opportunity to share how they responded to the wake-up call, created a plan of action, and improved outcomes through strategic collaboration.
Thank you to Sherri for sharing insights with our audience! We are excited to empower Atlanta to make change!
A panel of judges chose 4 community presenters for the second half of Atlanta Way Day! Each is an example of collaboration, community engagement, and solutions!
Proposals were evaluated based on the following criteria:
Innovation and impact of the proposed solution
Clarity and feasibility of the project plan
Strength of collaboration and community engagement
Alignment with the mission of Atlanta Way 2.0.
Take a peek at each project and learn more about the collaborations changing the landscape of our region!
