JOIN THE MOVEMENT
What does it mean to be an Activator? Activators are people who embody the Atlanta Way 2.0 spirit every day. You help others solve problems, make connections, advance their cause, and strive to make Atlanta the best city it can be. We will send occasional emails with updates about our organization, opportunities to engage in events related to your area of interest, and share success stories of Activators making a difference in our great city!
We work in two central ways, supporting our Activators in their work and through AW2.0-led initiatives.
Activators- More than 947 Metro Atlantans have joined our Activator Network. Our goal is to equip, educate, and engage Activators to help make a difference in our region! Sign up to get updates on opportunities to get involved in our initiatives in 2026!
Initiatives- AW2.0 works with organizations across the city to improve the civic infrastructure and connectivity of our region. We strategically bring partners together to address issues and launch a concentrated effort to solve the problem. We want everyone to have a seat at the table. We identify champions who take the lead and provide support along the way. We are available to guide, counsel, and support continued progress toward solutions, but our goal is to build and launch community teams to carry the torch.
In 2026, our three central initiatives are: Improving regional economic mobility, sustainable and equitable revitalization of Downtown Atlanta, and supporting the future of journalism in Atlanta. We are also developing resources for Activators and all Atlantans, like an Atlanta 101 guide!

Activator Pledge: As an Atlanta Way 2.0 activator, I will do what I can to strengthen Atlanta’s civic fabric.
This includes:

Make connections: introduce people who need to know each other.

Welcome wagon: welcome people new to Atlanta and help them become engaged in the community.

Build bridges: seek to build bridges that exist between people and organizations not currently working together.

Compassion corner: provide support to people who may be going through tough times personally or professionally.

Encourage success: look for ways to help people become more successful.

Pay it forward: spread the word of Atlanta Way 2.0. to all generations –inviting people from all walks of life to become Atlanta Way 2.0 activators.
