Each year, Atlanta Way Day brings together the region’s most passionate problem-solvers to highlight regional challenges and provide real solutions that strengthen Metro Atlanta’s civic fabric. This year builds on our Regional Economic Mobility work. In addition to identifying problems, we’re taking action to fix them! Our regional partners, Activators, and community will come together to make real change this October.
Atlanta Way Day, presented by Atlanta Way 2.0, provides a platform for individuals and organizations to spotlight challenges or critical needs in Metro Atlanta. This initiative reflects the core mission of Atlanta Way 2.0: to connect, collaborate, and convene, inspiring more people to join the movement and drive collective action.
The event on Thursday, October 1, 2026 will be co-hosted by Kathy Waller, Executive Director for the Atlanta Committee for Progress, and Tad Hutcheson, Managing Director of Community Engagement at Delta Air Lines and SVP of The Delta Airlines Foundation.
Last year’s Atlanta Way Day Keynote Panel centered around Atlanta's current ranking of 50th out of 50 in Upward Economic Mobility, and the urgency for our region to come together and address this challenge. This year, we will hear progress updates from our partner organizations on their efforts toward improving Regional Economic Mobility. Atlanta Regional Commission, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and United Way of Greater Atlanta will present their progress.
The program will also feature a teaser from Out of Hand Theater Atlanta's new performance, coming to living rooms in 2027.
